Zinc Sensor
Detect Zinc in Real Time
Just 5 ppm, or 5 mg/l, of zinc dissolved in water can cause chalky discoloration that leaves a film when boiled, easily detectable to downstream community and water users, Zinc in water can cause issues in human and animal health and is currently regulated to a maximum of 500 ppb.
Zinc in water is a common by product of industrial processes. Delayed detection can result in site license infractions, fines, and upset communities downstream at the visible changes in water quality. Detection is usually a matter of laboratory services, leaving a large delay, and huge risk point, in the hands of the industrial water treatment facility.
Usually, distillation or Reverse Osmosis are used for zinc removal.
AquaValid Sensor
The AquaValid sensor can connect to any pipe or flowing system, and monitor on a real time basis for up to five metals. The sensor is fully automated, handling sample taking and preparation without human intervention. Detecting into the PPB, the sensor can handle water from heavy industrial matrices to drinking water applications.
